Statistics show that many Kosher consumers are not Jewish. These consumers are people who perceive kosher to be cleaner and better!

Where does Honey Blossom's Honey derive from?

The Best Place where we can get the HoneyBees to fully cap Honeycombs and get the frames nice and plump! Southeastern USA! Shout out to Florida Georgia with all our love!!

Why does Honey Crystallize?

Honey is a supersaturated mixture of natural sugars, collected from the nectar of plants. It contains over 70% sugars and less than 20% water. The two main sugars in honey are fructose and glucose.
The content of fructose and glucose in a jar of honey varies from one type of honey to another.
The balance of these two main sugars causes the crystallization of honey, and the relative percentage of each determines whether it crystallizes quickly or slowly. What crystallizes is glucose, due to its lower solubility. Fructose is more soluble in water than glucose and will remain fluid.

When glucose crystallizes, it separates from water and takes the form of small crystals formed. As crystallization progresses and more glucose crystallizes, those crystals spread throughout the honey. The solution changes to a stable saturated form, and finally the honey thickens or crystallizes. RAW honey crystallizes faster.

What are the major health benefits in RAW Honey?

Honey being solid or liquid does not have anything to do with it being RAW. This depends on it crystallizing or not. The glucose to fructose ratio in the Honey is the main factor precipitating crystallization in Honey.
There are other factors as well such as time. So for example you can take a frame out of a Beehive and scrape it a bit and the Honey flowing out will be 100% RAW as possible, however it is liquid.
Depending on the floral nectar source the Honey will have a different f/g fructose to glucose ratio.

Those Honeys with an f/g ratio of 1.18 and above usually stay liquid for longer. Those with an f/g ratio of 1.15 and below tend to crystallize sooner.

Beware though, adulterers use this fact to cut Honey with high fructose GMO syrups to keep it liquid for a longer time, reap huge profits and poison you at the same time!
So as a general rule beware or liquid Honeys, however solid Honeys can also be adulterated, so it’s no guarantee.

All Real Honey will eventually crystallize. All Honey inside a Honeycomb is 100% RAW as it cannot be heated lest the Beeswax be melted. So the Honeycombs are a great solution for finding 100% RAW Honey.

The major Health Benefits of Honey are plenty and many are as yet to be discovered or fully admitted. Here's a helpful article on the subject. https://www.cnn.com/2018/01/15/health/honey-health-benefits

Adulteration?

Many people think that crystallized honey is synonymous with adulteration, this is not true. True raw honey crystallizes.  The process of crystallization is natural and spontaneous.  Pure, raw, unheated honey has a natural tendency to crystallize faster with no effect on the honey other than color and texture.

Crystallization of honey actually preserves the taste and quality characteristics of your honey.  Many honey users prefer it in this state as it is easier to spread on bread.

Crystallized honey also tastes richer. When honey is in the crystallized state, it takes longer to melt on the tongue, allowing all the taste buds to be activated and capture the subtleties.

The natural sugars in honey tend to solidify at temperatures below 25 °C.

If you prefer your liquid Honey dripping, heat it in a double boiler for a few minutes.

Is Honey better than proccesed sugar?

Bees have already done the hard work for us, their enzymes make Honey more easily to digest than its processed alternatives.

Honey contains minerals and amino acids that processed sugar does not.

Honey doesn´t spike your blood sugar like processed sugar does.

Honey Blossom Honey is RAW Honey?

"While there is no official U.S. federal definition of “RAW” Honey, it generally means honey that has not been heated or filtered. We often see or hear claims that raw honey is more nutritious or better for you, primarily because raw honey may contain small amounts of pollen grains that are often removed during processing or filtering." National Honey Board.

Our Honey has Never been micro filtered, it retain 100% of its Natural content of pollen, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, propolis and other micronutrients.
Our Honey has Never been Pasteurized or heated above 120 degrees.
Our Honey undergoes Minimal processing, such as spinning, decanting and straining to get any large debris such as wood chips and wax out of it and get it into the jars so you are able to enjoy it at home.

Some people claim Honey should never go above 100 degrees, but if you've ever been down to Texas or Mexico in the Summer, you know this is bogus, since Honeybees down in these parts regularly do their work at temperatures between 90 and 120 degrees depending on the area and the season.

So is our Honey RAW? You decide!

How do you eat a Honeycomb?

This is a Great question.

Honey still inside the Honeycomb strictly speaking is the Only Honey that should be considered RAW, since it's still inside those little wax hexagonal combs the Bees use to store them in.
So the Honey has Not been in contact with the air, this avoids any sort of oxidation.

It's also 100% RAW Pure Untouched by Anyone other than the Honey Bee that put inside and "capped" the cell entrance.

As to What to do with them...

  • You can directly Bite into them and they are chewy, you chew it like you would bubble gum or tobacco and you keep chewing until the Honey runs out and then you spit out the Wax.
  • You could actually reuse that excess wax, melt it and make candles!
  • You can cut it with a spoon and again chew it.
  • You can pair with fruit and/or granola.
  • You can cut out a cube and throw it inside your tea and/or coffee, smoothie, juice or any other drink.
  • Eating the Honeycomb is just an Overall Fun Experience! Kinda like riding a Bike or riding a Horse. It's Just Plain Fun!
  • Again, you'll have to chew at some point and throw out the excess unused Beeswax.
  • The Beeswax itself has hundreds of uses such as shoe polish, or wood varnish, etc.
  • Some people are using the Honeycomb for drinks like martinis and even ice cream.

So there's literally hundreds of recipes!

My Honeycomb arrived all sticky what should I do

This is quite common with the Honeycombs. Simply just rinse briefly with 1 or 2 hands over the sink with warm water and the Honey that seeped out will come right off.

Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel and you can then go ahead and open it up and enjoy!

Sincerely,
Honey Blossom

Is there any real difference between consuming Honey from a jar than from the actual Honeycomb?

In a perfect world they "could" be the same. However there are some key differences in the real world.

1st off when you eat the Honey with the Honeycomb you are munching and chewing on the Honey + Beeswax + Bee Pollen + Bee Bread + Bee Propolis all in 1.

When you eat the Honey from the glass jar / bottle you're just eating the Honey by itself. If you don't strain or filter the Honey you Might get a few Beeswax and Propolis particles in there, but not a whole lot. If it's gently strained Honey which is Not industrially micro filtered and Not overheated past 120 degrees and Not adulterated with high fructose GMO corn syrup then you'll get All the Health Benefits of 100% Pure Honey. However you won't get the added benefits of the other components.

Also, how can you tell if it's 100% Real Honey? We could tell you ours is 100% Real 'till our faces go blue and our fingers bleed from typing it on here, but that's not gonna make it so.
The problem is Everyone and their grandmother (sorry grandma) claims that, however Most of them are lying through their nose.

Indeed over 70% of All Honey in the Market is FAKE! It's the 3rd most FAKED Food in the World, behind Cooking Oils and Milk! So chew on that! On the flip side of that, there's 30% or less of us Honey folks whom put in the hard work tending Honey Bees, and bring to Market 100% Pure Honey trying to convey our message, however it's Really Hard to get it across given so much noise and advertising pollution.

How do we connect with honest customers such as yourself trying to eat properly? There's no easy answer. One such solution is the Honeycomb. When you eat Honey inside the Honeycomb it's like picking up a full pineapple and cutting it yourself, or fishing a fish out of a stream and cooking it yourself. There's NO WAY to FAKE that, period.

Isn't All Honey RAW?

Great question. Nope, not all Honey is raw. Most Honey is Not raw.
Most supermarket Honey is pasteurized and heated above 185 degrees and ultra filtered. This is done for several reasons.

Big industrial Honey does that so they can run the Honey easily through their machinery and pipelines and into their bottles. If they Honey is too thick it will get stuck in their less than 100 micron industrial filters. They also do this to blend in their high fructose plant syrups with the Honey.

Always beware the word "blend" it's industry jargon for "cut" and/or "adulterate" with something cheaper of less quality. When they do all that they also microfilter out the pollen so the blends can't be traced back to where they came from, like China.
Chinese Honey is currently illegal in the USA for these very same reasons of adulteration and fakery. 70-80% of All Honey in the world is Fake! This is a proven fact. Kinda mind-blowing if you as us.

On the other hand, we have the Unicorn = Real Raw Honey, which is Honey that has never been heated above 120 degrees and has never been filtered below 400 microns. So it's just screened and/or sifted with cheesecloth or similar.

When it comes to Honeycombs they are 100% RAW by definition since they can Never be heated and/or filtered, lest the Beeswax be melted.

I buy from a different source! What can you tell me that is different about your comb to sell me on it? I buy from USA already!

If you're buying from a legit source you're good brother. In this day and age where everything around us is fake just be aware if you know for a fact where that Comb is coming from.

If you've seen the Beehives and know the Beekeepers then you're A ok. If you haven't, there could be room for some monkey business, and stats show 70-80% of the time there is!

MOST Combs currently in the Market here in the US are coming from China, being relabeled in Eastern Europe and/or being relabeled here in America!
These people have no shame, and are hurting our Bee farmers, putting them out of business with their illegal and indecent business practices.

What's wrong w/ Chinese Combs? We love Combs from all walks of life, however Chinese Honey is illegal in the USA for 1 thing. This is due to them "dumping" their Honey Below the Cost of production for years, until finally authorities stepped in and banned them for good. Not to mention they're chuck full of antibiotics, pesticides, lead, heavy metals, herbicides and God knows what else!
Besides they have also been known to use slave labor, prison labor and child labor which are all abhorrent medieval practices unbecoming of any human society.
Chinese producers also feed all kinds of nasty synthesized syrups and high fructose corn syrups to their Honey Bees during the Honey Flow, which is the season Bees are making Honey. This fills up the frames faster, however the Honey inside the cells is of much lesser quality than actual Honey from Blossoms.
So in essence, those few bucks we think we save at the supermarket buying junk food, come back to haunt us in different ways. If we're eating nasty stuff that's not healthy for us, those medical bills... they will add up for sure, which is Never a good thing. You always end up paying the piper brother. We have a few other options for you besides our Bestselling 100% USA RAW Honeycombs.
We have our Mexico Honeycombs which are ONLY $29.98 and come from pristine rural areas down there, where we're paying these Bee Farmers a premium for their frames, than the pennies they get paid out in the open market for their extracted Honey.
We also have 4 Amazing Flavored Honeycombs which Nobody else has currently. Some of those pack over 100 grams of Plant-Based Protein! So in essence they become a Full Meal Alternative.

If you're a Comb Connoisseur then you're well aware that you don't have to eat the whole thing in 1 sitting, but rather our size provides 20-22 servings, so that's about 1 month's worth, depending on how much you treat yourself to on a daily basis.

Is Honey Bee vomit?

This is a common misconception. Bee vomit is Bee vomit. Honey is Honey.

Honey Bee's actually have 2 stomachs. 1 for feeding themselves like you or I would, and another one for scooping up Flower Nectar and making Honey.

When they eat something that's a bit toxic to them they can throw up. Being the tidiest of creatures that they are, they usually clean up after themselves, especially near the Honey cells.

So rest assured, you will never even come close to Bee Vomit in your life with Honey and/or Honeycombs.

This is also when the hard work of us as Bee Farmers (beekeepers) comes in. We have to treat them and take care of them. A good natural remedy for this tummy situation is to leave out a bit of salt and/or lemon for them just outside the Beehives. Great All Natural Remedy for them.

Does Honey Promotes Lower Weight Gain?

Honey is a nutritional food low in glycemic index.
Honey intake reduces blood sugar levels and prevents excessive weight gain. Honey enhances insulin sensitivity that further stabilizes blood glucose levels and protects the pancreas from overstimulation brought on by insulin resistance. Body weight gain was 14.7% lower (P ≤ .05) for rats fed honey, corresponding to a 13.3% lower (P ≤ .05) consumption of food/energy, whereas food efficiency ratios were nearly identical.
Epididymal fat weight was 20.1% lower (P ≤ .05) for rats fed honey. Serum concentrations of triglycerides and leptin were lower (P ≤ .05) by 29.6% and 21.6%, respectively, and non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol was higher (P ≤ .05) by 16.8% for honey-fed rats.
These results suggest that in comparison with sucrose, honey may reduce weight gain and adiposity, presumably due to lower food intake, and promote lower serum triglycerides but higher non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol concentrations.

What is the difference between a regular Candle and a Beeswax Candle?

Beeswax: Environmentally friendly and safe, non-toxic. Burn very clean with little smoke.
Paraffin: A black sludge that is treated with 100% industrial strength bleach to change its color to white, creating toxic dloxins.

Beeswax: Hypo-allergenic, benefit those with environmental allergies, sensitivities, and asthma.
Paraffin: Are to be avoided by those with allergies or asthma conditions.

Beeswax: Have a high melting point (in fact the highest among all known waxes) which results in a significantly longer (2-5 times) burn time and drip very little, if any at all. (this offsets the cost).
Paraffin: Not as efficient. Short burning and drip excessively, which means that they may not be that economical after all.

Beeswax: Burn stronger and brighter. Emit naturally bright light of the same light spectrum as the sun.
Paraffin: Produce a flame that is not as strong and brilliant. Cannot evoke the same natural ambience of warmth and style as beeswax.

What is Black Garlic?

Black garlic is nothing but regular white garlic that has been fermented. The garlic is used in both sweet and savoury dishes, especially in countries like Japan, Thailand and South Korea, which have long known and used it in their meals. In fact, it is now known in almost all of Asia and in some parts of US, too.

As far as the health benefits are concerned, a black garlic contains more antioxidants. It is also believed to be a great source of protein, fiber, iron, vitamin C and calcium. You can easily add it to your meals.

It is also believed to balance the blood sugar level. The antioxidants in it can prevent diabetes complications and boost the health of the heart. If you are looking to give a boost to your health and immunity, consider eating black garlic. It can also boost the body’s metabolism and protect the liver from infections and damage.
